    RWC1020A Portable Signal Generator (PSG) generates a singletone from 12.5MHz to 6400MHz. Since the RWC1020A has a built-in battery, it can be used more usefully in situations where external interference signals must be blocked and tested such as chambers and shield box tests. It supports single mode, sweep mode, and table mode, so users can select the mode according to the test environment conveniently. It is ontrollable by remote command strings via USB(RS232).

      OVERVIEW

     

    RWC1020A, Portable Signal Generator (PSG) is a signal generator that generates singletons from 12.5MHz to 6400MHz. Since the RWC1020A has a built-in battery, it can be used more usefully in situations where external interference signals must be blocked and tested such as chambers and shield box tests.
    It supports single mode, sweep mode, and table mode, so users can select the mode according to the test environment conveniently. The single mode is a simple one that allows you to set only one frequency and one power. It is very useful when measuring the shield characteristics of DUTs such as chambers and shield boxes. The sweep mode is very useful when you need to generate frequencies at regular intervals as you can set the initial frequency, step frequency, stop frequency, and signal generation time of each frequency. In table mode, users can set the desired frequencies, powers and the signal generation time at each frequency respectively, so the user can test with the desired scenario.
    It is controllable by remote command strings via USB(RS232).

     

     


     





     

      Operation

    Single Mode 

    Single tone output mode with a fixed power.

    Pushing the SEL button shortly enters to edit mode. Users can increase or decrease values using the UP or the DOWN button and move digit position using the RIGHT or the LEFT button.

    Pushing the SEL button long turns the RF on or off. Users can see how long time has passed since turning on the RF at the bottom of the screen.

     

      

     

     

     

     

     

    Sweep Mode  

    It transmits the tone signal from start frequency to stop frequency in step frequency, with desired power and generation time. 

    START FREQUENCY : 1kH resolution

    It should be equal or less than the stop frequency

    STOP FREQUENCY : 1kH resolution

    It should be equal or greater than the start one

    STEP FREQUENCY : 1kH resolution

    OUT POWER : in dBm

    RUN TIME : in Second

    Signal generation time for each frequency

     

      

     

     

     

    Table Mode 

    Users can set the desired frequencies and powers and the signal generation time at each frequency separately, so that the user can test with the user’s designed scenario. Users cannot modify values directly but can download frequencies and powers using PC application program.  

     

     

     

     

     

    Config Mode  

    Users can set functions and monitor the status of RWC1020A in the config mode.

    Monitoring Battery voltage

    Setting the Beep sound on or off

    Setting the screen brightness

    Selecting reference signal internal or external

    Setting the auxiliary UART on or off

    Resetting all parameters as the factory config

     

     


     

     

     

     

    Remote Control

    Users can set all parameters and control all functions of RWC1020A by remote command via USB (RS232). By connecting the BT module to the auxiliary UART port, the user can control it wirelessly.

    The remote command is based on a string like *IDN?. It is very simple and easy to control. You can get all remote commands from the RedwoodComm website or from the PC application program.
